Once your proposal date is booked, the planning officially begins. Based on your vision, timing, and how you want this moment to feel, I’ll begin scouting and refining the best proposal location options — considering light, privacy, pacing, and overall experience.
If your plan includes a hotel, venue, or restaurant, I can also assist with coordinating any needed permissions or reservations, ensuring everything is aligned and approved ahead of time. This step takes your ideas and turns them into a location that works beautifully in real life, not just in photos.
Next, we’ll hop on a Game Plan Call to walk through everything in detail. We’ll cover the full timeline, your cover story, the exact path you’ll walk, and where I’ll be positioned so the surprise stays intact.
We’ll also talk through backup plans — including weather and timing adjustments — so you feel prepared no matter what. By the end of this call, you’ll know exactly what’s happening and when, without needing to think about it again.
This is where calm replaces guesswork.

And because I know you’ll want to relive it all quickly, 48-hour delivery is available.

On the day of your proposal, I’ll arrive early and blend seamlessly into the scene — camera discreetly in hand and positioned exactly where we planned. I’ll photograph the moments leading up to the proposal, the bended-knee moment itself, and the she said yes! celebration that follows.

How soon should I book my Charleston Proposal?
While I’ve helped pull together proposals in just a few days, I recommend booking at least 3+ weeks in advance to plan details, and keep everything stress-free and a true surprise.
How many photos will we receive?
My contract guarantees 40 images, but I typically deliver 80–200 photos, depending on the session. There’s no additional charge for extra images.
What if it rains the day of the proposal?
We’ll create a backup plan during your Proposal Planning Call so weather never catches us off guard. You’ll know exactly what to do if plans need to shift.
Can you assist with florals or champagne?
Absolutely! I can assist with floral styling ideas, champagne setups, and restaurant recommendations so the celebration continues seamlessly after she says Yes!
What if she's suspicious ...
and asks questions?
I’ll help you create a natural cover story that fits your plans, whether it’s a casual walk, a dinner plan, or a “just because” outing. Nothing forced — just believable and easy.
how will i recognize you that day?
Before the proposal, we’ll share locations and what we’ll be wearing that day. I’ll also note exactly where to look for me — and when — on your custom map so everything feels easy and seamless.

How do you stay hidden before the proposal?
I blend into the environment until the moment happens. I’ve photographed proposals disguised as a tourist, beachgoer, docent, or photographer waiting for another client.
Can I include family and/or friends?
Yes! This can be planned thoughtfully so it feels intentional and doesn’t interrupt the proposal itself. We’ll talk through timing and logistics during your Proposal Planning Call.
Will you tell me where to stand for the proposal?
100%! You’ll get clear, simple direction so you’re not guessing in the moment. I provide a custom timeline and, if helpful, a map showing exactly where to walk and where the proposal will happen.
