Charleston wedding + family photographer here! Welcome to my blog, a journal where I share all-the-pretty details, stories, and even a few tips. Stay a while and say hello!

Hi, I'm Jen.

An Azalea Park elopement on Mother’s Day

May 21, 2020

Cheryl and Len’s original wedding plans were impacted by Covid-19 putting their dream destination wedding in Key West on hold for the moment.  I was so excited when Cheryl called and asked me to photograph their mini-wedding on Mother’s Day.  It was so special that both of their mothers were able to make the trip down from New York to celebrate their official ceremony.

The sweetest ceremony gazebo.

Cheryl and Len chose the charming Azalea Park, located in the heart of historic Summerville, SC.  This was the first time I’ve visited the park, and it certainly won’t be the last!  They chose the sweetest gazebo overlooking a pond to officially tie the knot.  Pro tip: I was so excited that the gazebo was painted white!  The neutral colors created a beautiful reflection on faces!

Barbara, from One Gal and a Wedding, officiated their ceremony surrounded by their immediate family.  It was a perfect spring day and an even more perfect Mother’s Day for Cheryl!  Needless to say, they are going to be ready to party with their extended family and friends in Key West as soon as the pandemic ends!

xoxo,

Jen
