As a Charleston Family Photographer, I’m always excited about gorgeous locations like Charles Towne Landing!  If you’ve never been, it’s actually one of our SC State Parks!  There is so much history and beauty to take in.  Even if you’re not on your way to a family photo session, it’s worth a visit!!

Legare Waring House is such a great location for a Family Session here in Charleston.  It’s so fun to walk around Charles Towne Landing during the session.  I always have a few spots in mind, like the breathtaking Avenue of Oaks, but it’s one of my favorites for stumbling upon little nooks of blooming camellia trees or oak trees dripping with Spanish moss.

The best part about a session at Charles Towne Landing is that you’re able to spend an afternoon together as a family afterwards.  I always tell parents they can promise a walk down to the Zoo after the kids give their best smiles.  It’s a win-win to have great photos and make new memories together!

Needless to say, I’m so excited to share Dot’s family session.  Dot is the fabulous Events Director over at Lowcountry Valet.  It’s been such a joy to get to know her over the years, and photograph their amazing vintage buses at weddings!  They provide the coolest wedding transportation here in Charleston!  (Go check out the pink Lucy bus!)

It was such an honor to photograph her family just before the holidays and Charles Towne Landing was the perfect location for their session.
