Catherine and Mac chose Creek Club I’On for their Charleston Wedding.  Nestled in the heart of Mount Pleasant, the creekside breeze under the Live Oak trees was the absolute perfect setting for their Spring wedding ceremony and reception!

I’ll never forget my first phone call with Catherine: she felt like a friend within seconds.  Fast forward to many coffee dates, their engagement session, and even a fun branding session … it’s been such a gift to get to know this sweet couple.  One thing is for certain: planning a wedding isn’t easy … and then through a pandemic into the mix.  Catherine and Mac handled the unknowns of planning a wedding during a pandemic with such grace.

For those of you that are new around here, my husband is Ben Keys, the live painter of Wed on Canvas.  Catherine and Mac’s wedding was the first wedding Ben painted and I photographed!  Being in the wedding industry for over a decade, this new chapter has been really exciting!  It was a really sweet moment to walk into the ballroom (camera in hand!) and see Ben creating the beginning sketch for their live wedding painting.

Every detail was perfect from the getting ready location, to the floral ceremony arbor, to the custom cornhole set.  The best part is that all of the little details told their story.

And of course, Catherine and Mac chose an incredible team of creatives that made my job a breeze!  Charleston Weddings by Allison coordinated all the pretty.  Branch Design Studio nailed Catherine’s vision for her lavender florals!  And heavens … their jewelry from my sweet friends at Polly’s was out of this world stunning!!!  And by far, my favorite detail was Catherine’s gown.  Her gown photographed like a dream!

Narrowing down images for this blog post today felt nearly impossible.  I love every.single.photo that I’ve edited so far!   The camera LOVES Catherine!  You will see that immediately from the very first photo!
