Wright’s Charleston Proposal at Kiawah River started off with taking Camille on a private chartered boat ride around the Low Country’s most beautiful waterways. Wright, the smart man that he is, hired Jena from Propose Charleston to coordinate and design all the little details from the moment they docked at Kiawah River. Camille knew that he had planned a picnic, but didn’t know about the big surprise! She had no idea that Wright planned a southern fairytale picnic proposal!
I’ve photographed many proposals, this Charleston Proposal at Kiawah River was a fairytale!
Wright and Camille arrived hand in hand to the Kiawah River Farm House that overlooks a breathtaking marsh view. Jena had a stunning picnic set up complete with a gorgeous flower arrangement, yummy charcuterie, and even custom Auburn cookies. And of course, no celebration is complete without a bottle of Veuve Clicquot! As Wright approached the picnic, nestled under a grand oak tree, he dropped to one knee and asked Camille to begin forever together. She sad yes … and her yes had us all teary! Such a beautiful moment!
The best part about a picnic proposal is that you can take in the moment, and even take a moment to call loved ones!
Wright and Camille sat down to enjoy their champagne and charcuterie, taking in this incredible moment and view. Jena and I could hear giggles of happiness as they FaceTimed their family and friends to share the big news! This is the part of a picnic proposal that I love most!
After their picnic, we walked around the gorgeous property for a mini engagement session! These two are the absolute sweetest and just so in love!! What an honor to capture this incredible part of their love story!
