Winter proposals in Charleston just became even more magical with the new Charleston Place Hotel Snowfall experience!

The Charleston Place Hotel Snowfall is one of the most coveted Christmas experiences here in the Holy City! During the Christmas season, the hotel transforms into a beautiful, magical winter wonderland inside and out! It’s like a little trip to New York’s Rockefeller Plaza or like standing in the New York Palace Hotel courtyard, right here in the heart of Charleston! And with our very own SNOW!

The Snowfall experience at the Charleston Place Hotel is so popular, this year they scheduled snowfall events 3 times a night through November and December. And they still sold out! If you live in Charleston, this is a must experience during the Christmas season.

This iconic Charleston Christmas experience is made for a proposal! The Charleston Place Hotel began offering private snowfall events just for Proposals! Jena from Propose Charleston collaborated with the Charleston Place Hotel to bring her proposal planning experience to this incredible snowfall experience. And Harrison’s surprise proposal to Adele was absolutely epic!

The evening began with Adele thinking she was going to the Charleston Place Nutcracker Tea event!

That’s right! Harrison planned the perfect proposal and brought both of their families and closest friends into the plan. Adele’s mom and grandmother “had tickets” to the annual Christmas Nutcracker Tea event at the Charleston Place Hotel. Once they arrived, Adele’s mom instead guided them over to the Marketplace Courtyard overlooking the breathtaking Christmas tree.

A proposal with the Charleston Place Hotel Snowfall reminded me yet again, why I love photographing Charleston proposals!

Cue the snowfall … and Harrison standing in front of the Christmas tree. It was absolutely EVERYTHING a Christmas proposal in Charleston should be! Harrison dropped to bended knee and Adele said yes as the snow was falling!

Once she said YES!, she discovered the next surprise that their family and friends were also hidden! The look on her face was priceless! The Charleston Place Hotel had champagne ready to pop and together they toasted under the snowfall to an epic surprise! Adele was the sweetest as she took in the moment and her gorgeous new diamond ring (which included one of her mother’s stones!).

Little did she know, Harrison had one more big surprise in store for them: A Custom engagement announcement on the Riviera Theater marquee!

To pull off the final surprise, I told Harrison and Adele that we were going to walk through the hotel and take a few photos out on King Street. The surprise on Adele’s sweet face when she looked up and read “Congratulations on your Engagement Harrison and Adele” was absolutely epic! Seeing her final reaction to this surprise was absolutely priceless.

The sweetest thing about choosing a proposal at a location like the Charleston Place Hotel is that 10, 20, 30 years from now … they can return to the hotel and relive this magical Christmas moment.
