White Point Gardens will always be one of my favorite locations to photograph as a Charleston Proposal Photographer!  Alex and Alana fell head over heels in love with each other … and Charleston!  They recently decided to take the leap and call the Holy City home.  Alex knew he wanted downtown Charleston to be the heart of the big bended knee moment.

First things first: Alex hired a Charleston Proposal Planner!

Jena, owner of Propose Charleston, shared that Alex chose White Point Gardens as the spot for the big day!  Together, they planned all the details in timing and location, along with flowers and the perfect proposal picnic!  Jena arranged gorgeous white florals with pops of lush greenery in vases along the steps of the Gazebo there in the center of the Garden.  The flowers were surrounded by beautifully lit candles in vases that also went up the steps.

Their proposal picnic was set up just off to the side.  Jena arranged for seats, a picnic table, champagne and charcuterie from the Classy Cheese Chic!  She even had these cute, modern fans to help keep any flies away when they began eating!

Once Alex has Jena planning the big proposal, he then knew he needed a Charleston Proposal Photographer!  Proposals are one of my absolute favorite moments to photograph, especially at a gorgeous location like White Point Gardens!  Propose Charleston always makes my job easy, breezy.  Not only does she literally set the stage with all the details, but she handles coordinating all the logistics for each couple arriving to the spot.

This thorough amount of planning is such a win for the photography side of a proposal!  And needless to say, Alex arrived with Alana right on time and I was ready to photograph them, even as they were walking up to the Gazebo.

The funniest part about their big proposal moment was the wedding party getting ready to take photos nearby.  Jena’s Proposal flowers set up at the Gazebo were so gorgeous that they could have easily passed as wedding florals!  Alana had NO idea these flowers and whole setup were actually for her!

Alex proposed right there in the center of the Gazebo there at White Point Gardens and Alana’s reaction was priceless!  Scroll down to see her saying YES to forever together!
