A family portrait session is the perfect way to kick off a family beach week!  The Wamer Family had this idea for their local stay-cation to Folly Beach, SC.  Their daughter, Vivian, is actually best friends with my daughter, Emeline.  And it’s a total bonus that we’ve become friends with her parents over the years!  This is the second time I’ve had the joy of photographing the Wamer kids, and they just couldn’t be more beautiful … and fun!  Vivan absolutely loves the camera and Grayson photographs so naturally.  It’s clear … they get it from their parents!  From the many play dates and birthday parties over the years, I’ve also gotten to know Vivian’s grandma, too!  It was so great to be able to capture a few generational photos with both sets of grandparents!

I love photographing family sessions at Folly Beach, but what made this shoot next level was the jetty next to the beach house!  It was perfect for capturing candids of the kids playing together.  I’m all about giving kids a little break from the posed group shots, and it’s often that those turn out to be some of my favorite photos!

Look for the photo of Vivian twirling.  It’s probably one of my favorite children’s portrait I’ve ever taken!  Needless to say, it’s such a joy to share this sweet family’s beach session with you!
